scrpit for the previous podcast
1st person: wow it has been quite hot lately!
2nd person: yup , well it is because of global warming
1st person: what is global warming
2nd person : An increase in the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere especially a sustained increase that causes climatic changes The greenhouse effect acts to warm the plant and increase average global temperatures. This is seen as a major environmental hazard as average temperatures rise, leading to a possible change in weather patterns and agricultural output.
1st person :does the burning of fossil fuels affect the climate change too?
2nd person:yes you are right,it will also cause the greenhouse effect.
1st person : what is a greenhouse effect?
2nd person: some of the infrared radiation passes through the atmosphere but most is absorbed and re-emitted in all directions by greenhouse gas molecules and clouds. the effect of this is to warm the earth’s surface and the lower atmosphere
1st person: but fossil fuels have advantages too such as being very easy to find When coal is used in power plants, they are very cost effective. Coal is also in abundant supply Power stations that make use of fossil fuel can be constructed in almost any location.
2nd person: but there are also disadvantages in fossil fuels too Pollution is a major disadvantage of fossil fuels. This is because they give off carbon dioxide when burned thereby causing a greenhouse effect. This is also the main contributory factor to the global warming experienced by the earth .
1st person : how about the energy from the wind
2nd person : wind energy is a useful form of energy such as using windturbine to produce electricity. one of the greatest advantage of Wind Energy is that it is ample. Secondly, wind energy is renewable. Some other advantages of Wind Energy are that it is widely distributed, cheap, and also reducing toxic gas emissions. Wind Energy is also advantageous over traditional methods of creating energy, in the sense that it is getting cheaper and cheaper to produce wind energy. but the disadvantages is that Large land is needed people must clear lands to built the wind turbines so not all countries can use it .
1st person: well i prefer hydroelectricity as Inexhaustible fuel source
Minimal environmental impact but smaller models depends on availability of fast flowing streams or rivers
2nd person:well i prefer solar energy
1st person : why?
2nd person : Energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy therefore it Greatly reduced pollution reduce, contribution to global warming and it also has Infinite energy resource.
1st person : It is available most abundantly in areas with a high number of sunshine hours. Where it is needed most, cold countries in high northern or southern latitudes, it is less easily captured and used.It is not directly available at night or under cloud cover and conversion into another form of energy storage systems are necessary for those times.
RRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1nd person: recess is over , how fast ! anyway , thanks for the knowledge you have given me
2st person : no thanks

design specs
The board must have 2 circles
It must have spaces surrounding the middle of the circle.
The spaces must have the name of a place in Copenhagen , the name of a place where people work(eg. Supermarket, recording studio) or a place(name these with fictious names) which can be used for building energy plants(eg. Flats, forests, oil ridge, cattle ranch, beach)
There must be exactly 10 aound each circle, four will meet at the middle
In the middle of the circle, there must be an area which is split into solar, wind, water, fossil fuels and public buildings, for a total of 5 parts.
About 1 quarter will be used for public buildings. The rest will be spread evenly
Important places in Copenhagen(exception of difficult to model ones) should have models on the board at their respective spaces.
There will be two designated spaces to put the General Questions and another for Energy Questions and are to be labelled respectively.
The two spaces will be in the center and will occupy two of the four spaces which merge in the center.
The board must be colourful and must contain red and white(Danish flag style) and/or other colours

Survey Questions
Here's the survey:
We are doing a survey on Global Warming and we are making a board game regarding clean energy. Please answer sincerely and circle the answer you think is correct for this section.
(1)Is the Earth experiencing Global Warming?(Yes/No)
(2)To what extent do you think you know clean energy?(V Good/Good/OK/Bad/Very Bad)
(3)Is geothermal energy a 'clean energy'?(Yes/No)
(4) Do you think it is possible for a country to operate on hydroelectricity(Yes/No)
(5)Can we reduce Global Warming? (Yes/No)
(6)Do you know about “Hopenhagen” held last year?(Yes/No/ Maybe)
(7)Do you think using renewable energy will slow Global Warming?
(8)Do you plan to turn off your lights for Earth Day? (Yes/No/ Maybe)
This is the open-ended section. Please answer sincerely.
(9)What do you understand about Global Warming?(eg. How to prevent it)
(10)We are creating an educational boardgame. Do you think this is a good idea and is practical?
(11)We would like some suggestions on how to improve on our product.
(12)Some questions you would like us to use in the game.
(13)Do you think a boardgame is a good idea? Give us your comments as well.
